IT is lights, camera, action for Liam Treacy and a group of Lancaster film makers, who have produced several films recently screened at The Dukes Theatre, as well as scooping the unique location of Quite Simply French as the set for a film currently undergoing editing.

The group of aspiring film makers who range in age from 23 to 43 consists of Liam Treacy, Bryan Dickinson, Ray Turner, John Hamlett, and Ant Mercer.

“We met through friend of a friend scenario really, as we come from Lancaster, Morecambe, and Heysham,” Liam said.

The group meet the first Wednesday of every month at The Dukes Theatre, to pool ideas and support each other in their aspirations to make it big.

“Some of us have degrees in film, but we all share the same passion. The problem is that until now we were unable to get anywhere individually. We cannot afford expensive equipment,” Liam added.
