Win chance to see Chemical Brothers
RENOWNED more for their festival headline slots and arena-sized global tours, electronic music pioneers The Chemical Brothers take to the big screen in Lancaster next month.
For the first time, the full Chemical Brothers’ live experience has been captured on film in the form of Don’t Think, and has the added bonus of being mixed in Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound.
Shot at Japan’s answer to Glastonbury, the Fujirock Festival on the slopes of Mount Fuji, 20 cameras have captured the essence of the duo’s acclaimed shows, which they have been perfecting for 20 years since classmates Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands came together as The Dust Brothers in 1992.
Since then The Chemical Brothers have released seven albums, five of which got to number one and produced two number one singles, and they have worked with the likes of Noel Gallagher, Beth Orton, Klaxons, Q-Tip, New Order’s Bernard Sumner and The Magic Numbers. A CD copy of their 1999 number one album Surrender was even placed in the third Blue Peter time capsule, buried in January 2000.
The duo have become somewhat of a live show phenomena, using the latest lighting technology with large screens displaying psychedelic images, strobe lights, and lasers that project over the crowd.
