Sound of real America in Kendal
Zoe Muth
MUSIC fans will be transported to the vast plains of the American West when one the USA’s most celebrated young country singer/songwriters comes to Kendal.
Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers will be bringing their unique brand of Americana to the Brewery on January 26.
Zoe came to the attention of the music world in 2010 when her debut album earned plaudits Stateside and her hometown press dubbed her Seattle’s own Emmylou Harris.
Growing up in the hometown of Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, Zoe was raised on old school rock, before discovering the anthology of American folk music while in high school.
She was so captivated by the stories of rural people she began writing songs in a country style.
Music programmer Mike Chadwick said: “When you hear Zoe’s voice, you can’t help but think of the female legends of country music such as Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn.”
The show starts at at 7.30pm. For tickets, call 01539 725133 or visit www.breweryarts.co.uk.
