Sense and Sensibility at Grand
Sense and Sensibility.
AN evening of Regency wonderment is on offer at Lancaster’s Grand Theatre next month.
Chapterhouse Theatre Company is staging a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
Adapted for the stage by resident scriptwriter Laura Turner, the play follows Elinor and Marianne Dashwood’s first forays into the excitingly decadent world of 18th century society.
The sisters fall in love, make mistakes and experience heartbreak for the first time, in their quest to find a balance between sense and sensibility.
Chapterhouse, which was recently featured on the BBC’s The Many Lovers of Miss Jane Austen, usually tour open air theatre around country houses, castles and heritage sites in the summer months, but has come indoors for its spring tour.
Sense and Sensibility comes to the Grand at 7.30pm on Thursday, March 22.
Tickets priced £14 for adults and £12 for concessions are available on 01524 64695, or at www.lancastergrand.co.uk.
