Heady brew of acts at the Brewery

A FEAST of internationally-renowned musicians, classic and contemporary theatre, and TV’s biggest comics await visitors to the Brewery in Kendal this spring.

The new season of events has been launched, and the spring programme promises to be one of the best yet, with exciting artists and entertainers converging on Kendal from across the globe.

One of the coups of the season is the visit of everyone’s favourite Essex Boy comedian Russell Kane (March 14), who has become a household name since winning the Best Comedian award at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009.

Comedy fans will have enjoyed his whip-smart observational style on shows such as Live at the Apollo and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now, and Russell is a mainstay on panel shows such as Mock the Week and Jason Manford’s Comedy Roadshow.

The comedy line-up also includes top stand-up Terry Alderton (February 18), who has appeared on BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow in the last year.

Spring’s music programme is packed with an eclectic mix of acts from across the globe, including Miles Hunt,

frontman of 80s and 90s indie-pop hitmakers the Wonderstuff. Miles will be sharing the stage with former Stuffies bassist Erica Nockalls, and performing tunes from his new body of work, alongside stripped-down versions of the Wonderstuff’s greatest hits.
