Dallam School played annual host to the 11th School Art Showcase.
The event has been a regular junior spectacle during the annual Milnthorpe Art Exhibition but this year it was brought forward to enable 12 participating primaries plus Wings School and Dallam to enjoy in term time.
Arts coordinator Linda Cregg said: “This year has been special as we have accessed funding to train a small number of primary Arts Award advisers from Holme, Storth, Crosthwaite and St Wilfrids Halton who have been able to share their children’s work here.
“It has been refreshing to see such diversity and individuality in the displays because of this.”
Along with children, parents and staff, the day was also enjoyed by members of Milnthorpe Men’s Forum who sponsor prizes and publicity for the event together with Poole Townsend who presented the bursary prize for A level student Vincent Chan’s work.
This year Dallam School gave retiring thanks to Michael Monks from the Men’s Forum after 11 years of dedicated support and sponsorship.
During the day, music, dance and drama performances were on display and every visitor was asked to choose their People’s Choice.
This years dilemma is a primary tie! Can you choose?
Is it Jeremy Fisher by Billy Briggs (age 6) St Wilfrid’s School, Halton, or Big Ben by Louise Wade (age 11) from Arnside?
