The head chef at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary went back to the classroom to help an existing cookery class taught by Louise Bailey at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Morecambe learn the secrets of culinary perfection.

Lee Till then invited pupils he had been teaching for an exclusive behind the scenes look at how food is prepared for the staff, patients and the public in the hospital. The children had the opportunity to get hands on – decorating cakes – while they learned the secrets of how the hospital prepared almost 1,000 meals every day.
