Lancaster University’s engineering building has been named as one of eight winners of the 2015 RIBA Regional Awards, in recognition of architectural excellence.
The building also won a special Sustainability Award, while the NW Architect of the Year award went to Paul Hughes from John McAslan + Partners, who designed the building.
Mark Swindlehurst, director of facilities at Lancaster University, said: “It is great that the high quality of the building has been recognised by these two RIBA Awards. We are very proud of our new engineering building at Lancaster University. It provides a modern, light, sustainable and inspirational working environment for our students and academics to learn, teach and conduct world-leading research and is a first rate addition to the fantastic facilities on campus here at Lancaster.”
