TRIBUTES have paid to a schoolgirl who died unexpectedly of a suspected asthma attack.
Chloe Passmore, 12, passed away at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary after falling ill at her family home on Barley Cop Lane, Lancaster, on Tuesday.
Chloe was a year eight pupil at Our Lady’s Catholic College, Morecambe Road, Lancaster.
Brendan Conboy, headteacher at Our Lady’s, said: “The whole community of Our Lady’s is extremely shocked and saddened by the tragic death of this lovely girl.
“She will be fondly remembered and we offer our deepest condolences to her family and many friends.
“Chloe and her family were remembered in a special Mass for the whole school and we will keep them all in our prayers.”
A police spokesman said: “Police were called by paramedics to an address on Barley Cop Lane at 3.50pm where a 12-year-old child was suffering from a suspected asthma attack.
“She was taken to Royal Lancaster Infimary by ambulance where she was sadly pronounced dead at 5.20pm.
“There are no suspicous circumstances and the matter has been passed onto the coroner.”
