Ofsted inspectors have given Bleasdale School an overall grade of outstanding for its residential element.

Bleasdale School is a residential and day special school, catering for pupils aged two to 19.

A school spokesman said: “We are all very proud that, according to Ofsted “the ethos, culture and working practices developed in the residential provision, promotes, guides and encourages pupils towards a more independent lifestyle” and that a particular strength of the school is ‘ leadership and management’s continued commitment and desire for improvement.”

Headteacher Kairen Dexter said: “The school has undergone a lot of changes recently and it is great to see more evidence that we are moving along the right lines and constantly improving the education and care of our pupils.”
