Morecambe Road School celebrated the opening of its Sensory Room on Monday.
Pupils from Class 5 hosted the opening and provided refreshments. The room was officially opened by a parent and Mr Price, the deputy headteacher.
Suzanne Clayton from Lady Taverners, The Morecambe Mens Committee members, school governors and parents provided funding enabling the school to equip the Sensory Room.
The school would like to thank them and also all the other benefactors including Barratt Homes and individual fundraisers who generously gave time and money to this project.
The Sensory Room will be invaluable as an educational and learning tool to encourage communication and provide engaging storytelling.
Additionally, a smaller section to the room can be used for calming and nurturing therapy.
