Pre-school’s ‘outstanding’ Ofsted report

Lancaster University Pre-School Centre has again been assessed as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.

The Pre-School Centre provides high quality early years care and education for more than 200 children of students, staff and the local community between the age of three months and five years.

Lancaster University Pre-School Centre manager Adele Stewart said: “I am extremely proud that the effort and hard work of the whole team.

“They have met all the challenges, set by both myself and the government and this is a great way for it to be recognised.

“This judgement is testimony to their loyalty, professionalism and dedication in delivering the best for every child and family.

“We are now busy planning an ‘outstanding’ party to celebrate the success with the children.”

The Ofsted report highlights:

n An extremely motivated staff team who are supported by an enthusiastic leadership team who provide high quality supervision and a programme of professional development.

n Children flourish in this setting due to the exemplary care they receive. Children make excellent progress in their development.

n Children’s learning is enhanced by excellent use and deployment of high quality resources and a stimulating environment.
