Focus on play in new classes

Lancaster Steiner School is holding workshops for parents and carers of young children.

Lancaster Steiner School is holding workshops for parents and carers of young children.

A new series of workshops for parents and carers of children aged 0-7 starts on Saturday, March 15 at Lancaster Steiner School in Lune Road.

The workshops focus on the importance of play and nurturing natural childhood development and are run by a highly experienced and qualified Early Years practitioner.

Denise Randall, the Early Years practitioner, said: “It is not easy being a parent in the 21st century. It can be a struggle to find quality family time, to truly connect with and nurture your child’s development.

“The workshops will explore play; play is how children learn, joining children in play gives parents an opportunity to engage in a nurturing child centred activity and builds strong bonds between parents and child.”

Workshops will run on Saturdays from 10am until noon. Workshops cost £3 per person and a crèche may be available at a cost of £5 per child.

To book a place or for more information about the workshops please call 01524 841351 or visit www.lancastersteinerschool.org.
