Pupils and staff at Dolphinholme CE Primary School are delighted to have received the ‘Church School Distinctiveness Award’ for collective worship.

The school places great importance on the daily act of worship; it is a very special time when the whole school comes together as a family.

Worship is lead by all teaching staff and is varied, exciting and thought provoking.

Rev Rigney, the incumbent, at St Mark’s Church in the parish of Dolphinholme, also goes along each week to lead worship.

The award was presented by Lisa Fenton, senior advisor to schools from the Diocese of Blackburn.
