A new lamp post in Lancaster city centre looked slightly off kilter this week.
City resident Barrie Marshall spotted the angle of the new Market Square lighting column on Monday.
He said: “Recently two lamp posts have been put by the new plinth in Market Square, as you can see the nearest one is not exactly perpendicular.”
The columns are part of the new Square Routes Project aimed at rejuvinating the public realm in Lancaster city centre.
Sim Lane-Dixon, Lancashire County Council highways manager for Lancaster, said: “The new lighting columns were put in on Friday last week.
“The team realised that further works would be needed to make this column completely straight, however it was not possible to complete the job that day as the column would need to be removed and re-set.
“We’ll be returning this week to fix it.”
