Dying cat comforted by Queen legend

ROCK star Brian May tried to save a dying cat which had been run over by a car.

The Queen guitarist was driving through Burton-in-Lonsdale when he saw the cat lying in the road.

Animal rights campaigner Brian got out and spent half an hour with villagers, stroking the animal until it passed away.

If he was caring he'd have just rung its neck as soon as he found it and not wait 30 minutes for it to die in agony.

How sad these people have to criticise a person showing compassion and humanity to a suffering creature. He happens to be a rock star passing through Burton and to suggest, him stopping and comforting a dying creature, was a publicity stunt is sick. We were not at the scene, Brian May was, and I would suggest this sensitive, caring man realised the cat was in no fit state to be moved. Some victims of road accidents are too injured to be treated and If you have ever been with a seriously dying animal and know that there is nothing can be done, then the kindest thing we can provide is calm and love in its last moments. Three cheers for Brian May, our faith in human nature takes some knocks these days, but this act of kindness restored that of mine and many other animal lovers in Cumbria.

Instead of sitting there as in some publicity stunt why didn't he drive it to the nearest vets?? Im sure there was a vets surgery in the village or near by.. 30mins is a long time to sit and do nothing to help!!

Can't you tell Go loves Queen. They were a band of the 80's & thats right where they should stay. Brian was lucky to make it out of Burton. Its just like Royston Vasey with a local shop for local people. I know, I drink in the Punch bowl.

Brian May is an altruistic animal loving human being who has compassion for others less fortunate than himself and displays it through his dedication to promote inhuman acts on animal cruelty amongst other types of injustice. Additionally he is a rock star, not was but he is much more than that. That said poster one your actions are as commendable as his.

So what! I comforted a dying cat last week after it had been run over and the poor thing died in my arms, just because Brian May is an ex-rock star does not qualify as hitting the papers as a news story.
