TO mark the launch of the new look compact Lancaster Guardian on May 19, we’re inviting every reader to join in the celebrations with the chance to win £200.
Invitations to take part in a prize draw will be distributed with the Lancaster and Morecambe Reporter free newspaper.
Each invitation has a unique number printed at the bottom.
Take your invitation in to your nearest retailer stocking the Lancaster Guardian between May 19 and June 9 and if your unique number matches the one printed in the paper, the money could be yours.
We will publish four different numbers in the first four editions of the new compact Lancaster Guardian.
Any reader who has an invitation with a matching number should contact 01772 838089. Each week there will be a prize of £200 for the lucky winner.
* NEXT week’s edition of the newspaper is destined to become a collector’s item – our last broadsheet edition before the launch of the new look compact Lancaster Guardian on May 19.
The newspaper has been published in its current format ever since publication began on January 28, 1837. In those days it had advertisements on the front page and was founded by Liberal Party supporters seeking to publicise their campaigns for social reform. Much has changed since but the Guardian has remained at the heart of the community, reporting all that is good about the city and surrounding area.
Next week we acknowledge that shared history with a special supplement looking back at how the newspaper and the city have changed over the past 174 years.
