Morecambe Bay hospitals are set for a fundraising boost as people sign up for a cross-bay walk.
The annual event will again be led by Queen’s Guide to the Sands Cedric Robinson from Arnside to Kent’s Bank on May 24.
Organised by the Morecambe Bay Hospitals Charity, walkers are being encouraged to collect sponsorship for their local hospital.
The organisation is a registered charity set up to hold and manage charitable money given to the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust and its hospitals in Lancaster, Kendal and Barrow.
Director of finance for the trust, Aaron Cummins, said: “This is an opportunity to take part in an event which those who participate will remember for a long time to come. It’s also a great way to get some exercise, keep fit and also to raise money for charity.
“We would encourage anyone interested to register for the event. As well as taking part in something very special, they raise money to benefit patients at the same time.”
People are asked to register for the walk by downloading a form at http://www.mbhcharity.org/charities_events_details.asp?newsID=37
The fee is £10 for adults and £5 for children, which includes a T-shirt.
Places are limited.
