A Latvian man found with a head injury on Morecambe Promenade was assaulted, police believe.
The 32-year-old was found at around 8am on Saturday, November 2, and treated for severe bruising and swelling at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
It is believed the man, who lives in Morecambe, was on the promenade near Broadway around midnight with two other men. Broken bottles, blood and personal items were found near the large shelter across from St Christopher’s Church.
DI Phil Jones, of Lancaster Police, said: “The injured man is believed to have been drinking with two other men and we know that they were being rowdy and loud.”
