Witness appeal after Lancaster firework attacks

Police are appealing for witnesses after two arson attacks involving fireworks in the city.

The first incident happened on October 23 at around 9.25pm when a lit firework was pushed through the letterbox of a property on the Ridge Estate.

The firework exploded in the hallway causing some minor damage to the doorway.

Then at around 10.30pm on November 1, a firework was set off inside an address in Patterdale Road.

The attacker is believed to have approached the property and opened a rear door, releasing the firework inside a hallway.

Some damage was caused to the floor and walls.

On both occasions the occupants have been fortunate to suffer no injuries.

Anyone with information about the first incident should call police on 101 quoting crime reference number WB1508668 of October 23.
