Two men could be deported after being arrested at a Lancaster takeaway on suspicion of immigration offences.

Immigration officers swooped on Nice & Spicy in Church Street on Thursday evening.

Two Bangladeshi men aged 29 and 30 were arrested and later released on immigration bail while steps are in place to remove them from the UK.

A Home Office spokesperson said: “We would urge members of the public with information about suspected immigration abuse to get in touch.”
