Four men and three women were arrested after police drugs raids in Galgate.

Properties in Main Road, Chapel Lane and Chapel Road - four in total - were searched last Wednesday morning.

Four men - aged between 20 and 22 from Galgate and two women, both 21, also from Galgate - were detained on suspicion of importing and being concerned in the supply of cannabis resin.

A third woman - aged 20 from Great Harwood - was arrested, suspected of the same offences.

Lancashire Police said a number of items relating to drugs supply were seized during the operation, which came after officers executed warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act. DI Bev Foster, of Lancashire Police, said officers had acted on intelligence.
