Four rare plants were stolen from allotments in Lancaster.

The plants – a “blue sausage tree”, a “Saskatoon” a “Kiwi Berry” and a “Chinese Dog Wood” – were worth £50 each.

The plants are all saplings and are very rare in the United Kingdom.

Police said the plants were stolen from allotments on Ambleside Road between 3pm on April 28 and 10am on April 29.
