A CONVICTED paedophile who was driven from his home in Heysham following protests by angry residents has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Raymond Alan Blaylock, 58, formerly of Connaught Road, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of committing an act of gross indecency with boys under 14, and two charges of inciting boys under 14 to commit an act of gross indecency.
He was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on Tuesday.
Blaylock was also disqualified from working with children and has been placed on the sex offender’s register indefinitely.
The charges relate to offences that took place in a Cumbrian village on various dates between March 1980 and July 1986. Connaught Road residents took to the streets last month when they discovered Blaylock, who worked at Heysham Power Station, had been convicted for the offences.
