Police hunting sneak-in thief

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a sneak-in burglary at a Lancaster home.

Two laptops, jewellery, cash and an iPod were all stolen from the house on Regent Street between 3.30am and 4.10am on Sunday, August 14, as the occupants slept.

The burglar forced his way into the house before searching a number of rooms. He disturbed the occupants when he entered their bedroom and turned on the light.

He then fled with his haul.
