Men sought after iPhone is stolen

An iPhone 6 was stolen from a mobile phone shop in Lancaster.

Police have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to after the theft from the O2 shop on Penny Street in the city,

Two men went into the shop and one made his way to the counter while the second man sat down on a chair at the end of the counter.

This man then reached over and stole the iPhone which was left on the counter under a bag.

Both men then left the shop making no attempt to pay.

The first man is described as white, medium build, approximately 5ft 8 in height, with a bald head wearing a black coat with blue jeans, in his 40s and with a southern accent.

The second man is described as white, slim build, approximately 5ft 8 in height, with dark brown receeding hair, wearing black coat, black trousers, in his 40s and also with a southern accent.

To date, on-going enquiries have not yet identified the male that we need to speak to.

PC John Bradshaw, from Lancaster & Morecambe Police, said: “We would appeal to the public to help us and provide any information in regards to the identification of the male in the CCTV stills provided.”

The theft happened at 4.44pm on Tuesday, December 2.
