It is understood Maughan and his victim – his ex girlfriend Phoebe Mcgonnell – had been living in a caravan on a drive outside an address on Charlbury Grove.

During a row on May 2, this year he stabbed the 25-year-old multiple times.

The victim went into the house, and the man who owned the house called police. Officers found her bleeding heavily.

She had suffered a number of knife wounds to her chest and back.
