A Lancaster man has made his first court appearance after being charged with producing and possessing almoat £140,000 worth of drugs.
Polish-born Radek Lukasinski, a 25-year-old father-of-one, of Ryelands Road in the city, is accused of producing cannabis with a street value of up to £120,000 at a house on Alexandra Road, St Annes, on December 17. He is also accused of abstracting electricity to run a cannabis farm at the address.
Lukasinki is further charged with having more than £16.500 worth of amphetamine and £750 worth of cannabis at his home on the same date.
Prosecutor Jackie Garrett asked for the case to be heard at crown court and opposed bail for the defendant.
Defence lawyer Gary McAnulty said his client would not indicate any please to the offences at this stage in the proceedings.
Lukasinski was refused bail and was remanded in custody. He was ordered to appear at Preston Crown Court on January 9.
