A motorist accused of causing the death of a man by driving without due care and attention has appeared at court.

Ian Walker, aged 33, of Belle Vue Hotel, Marine Road Central, Morecambe, is alleged to have been driving a Citroen Berlingo along Cable Street, Lancaster, on May 16 when he caused the death of George Mitchell.

Walker’s case was adjourned to July 9 to fix a date for trial by District Judge David Scanlon sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
