Heysham man jailed for brutal stabbing

A MAN responsible for a brutal stabbing which left his victim fighting for his life has been jailed for nearly five years.

Sean Hann, 40, of Brunswick Road in Heysham, was charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon following the stabbing last November. Police were called to West End Road in Morecambe just before 5pm on Saturday, November 6, 2010, following reports of a serious assault.

On arrival, they found a 43-year-old man with stab wounds to his back and neck. He was initially in a critical condition but made a full recovery.

Hann first pleaded guilty to the offences on May 23.
