Heroin haul seized from car on motorway

Two people have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs following a £100,000 heroin discovery by police. Officers stopped a silver Subaru Impreza at around 3.15pm last Wednesday which was travelling north on the M6 at Burton-in-Kendal.

Police recovered heroin worth an estimated street value of £100,000.Luke Marshall, aged 37, of Egerton Court, Barrow-in-Furness and Tracey Buckney, aged 36, of Christopher Way, Liverpool, have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A controlled drugs between September 1 and December 3, 2014.

Marshall and Buckney were due to appear at Furness and District Magistrates Court on Friday, December 5.
