Lancashire Police are urging football fans throughout the county to steer away from bringing alcohol onto coaches heading for away games.
The advice comes after a recent policing operation was carried out in partnership with South Yorkshire Police.
Officers inspected seven coaches and thankfully found little evidence of alcohol on board the vehicles. However, an intoxicated 17-year-old boy was found on one coach and had to be treated by St John’s Ambulance.
Coach drivers were advised of their responsibilities under the Sporting Events Act and were provided an information pack containing the legislation and other information.
