Pranksters who are cutting cables outside Lancaster homes could be electrocuted, police have warned.

Wiring from a satellite dish was cut at the front of a house on Ford Street, an address on Lune Street had its Sky and telephone lines sabotaged and two Furness Street residents had their telephone wires cut.

Cables for a cooling system at Lancaster Cricket Club are also thought to have been targeted.

Sergeant Guy Hamlett said the incidents were linked and asked anyone with information to call 101.
