A van driver failed to stop after a collision which injured a cyclist in Lancaster.
The incident took place at around 2pm on Thursday, February 13, on the pedestrian crossing on Cable Street, at the junction with Water Street.
Police said the cyclist was using the crossing when a Citroen White Berlingo collided with him.
The driver then left the scene.
The cyclist, a 26-year-old local man, was treated for a minor shoulder injury at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary but did not need to be kept at the hospital.
The registration number of the van is believed to be PE11 MTF.
PC Kevin Illingworth, from Lancashire’s Road Policing Unit, urged anybody with any information to come forward.
He said: “An investigation is underway into the circumstances of exactly what happened.
“I would appeal to anybody that witnessed this collision or for the driver of the van involved to contact police on 101.”
