A trinket box and silver bar brooch were stolen from a Lancaster antiques shop.

Police have issued a CCTV still of a suspect following the theft on July 8.

He then wandered around the store, came back to the table and stole another item before he walked out of the shop, failing to pay for either.

The male is believed to have left the car park with another man in a Pink Vauxhall Vivaro van which is alleged to be from the Fleetwood area.

The items taken were a light green leather trinket box with green oval porcelain piece on top with a white Fleur D’Elise painted on it, a green flap-over press-in button measuring approximately 3x3in and approximately half an inch deep, and a small sterling silver bar brooch, approximately 1in long and 2/10ths of an inch wide engraved with ‘baby’ on the back in lower case.

The man is described as white, of large build, approximately 5ft11in in height, in his 50s with receding grey hair and a dark mark or growth on the right temple/forehead area. He was wearing a light coloured polo shirt, dark trousers and dark shoes.
