CCTV appeal following attempted break-in at local business

CCTV images of three men have been released by police after an attempted break-in at a business premises in Claughton-on-Brock.

Three men entered the yard of the Central Power Services building on Garstang Road, giving a false account for being there.

Staff then asked the men to leave which they appeared to do, however, it is believed that they hid at an obscured driveway and then removed fencing to try and get into the site.

They then used a large wrench to force a metal fence which gave them access.

Once on the site, they tried get inside a warehouse through a rear door but failed.

They then escaped from the scene in a white Ford van.

PC Matt Butcher from Garstang Police said; “Thankfully nothing was stolen but I believe that this was an attempt to break-in and potentially steal from the premises.

“I would ask anyone who recognise these men, or who may have seen anything suspicious around the time of this incident to please contact us.”

The incident happened shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, April 8 but CCTV has only just been released by police.
