BUSES have stopped running through the Ryelands estate in Lancaster for the rest of the summer holidays after being pelted with stones and eggs.
Carnforth-based bus company The Traveller’s Choice has pulled its 8C service during the day until the new school term starts next month.
A service is still running between 6.53am and 10am, but stops “when the kids get out of bed”, according to one of the firm’s bosses.
Mark Shaw, a director at The Traveller’s Choice, said: “We’ve pulled out for the remainder of the six-week holidays.
“We’re having stones chucked at the buses again, last year two of our windows were broken due to stones being thrown. We’ve reported it back to Lancashire County Council and they said pull out.”
