Police have issued CCTV stills of three men they need to trace after an attempted burglary at a restaurant in Lancaster.

The offence took place at Marco’s Restaurant on North Road at around 1.30am on July 29 when the offenders approached the rear of the restaurant while it was closed and used a dustbin to climb onto the roof.

They then smashed a glass panel on the roof which had fallen from the ceiling, causing further damage to the light sensor.

Fortunately, the offenders failed to gain access to the premises.

Police have released images of three men captured on cameras at the rear of the restaurant that they want to speak with in connection with the incident.

One of the men was wearing a blue T-shirt with a logo, blue shorts and white trainers.

The second man was wearing a red/tartan hooded top with dark jeans and the third man wore a grey hooded top and blue jeans.

PC Peter Bennett from Lancaster Police said: “I would appeal to anybody that recognises any of these men or with any information about this incident to come forward and call Lancashire Police on 101 quoting crime number BA1202614.”
