A man has died after he was seriously injured in a three-car crash on the A65 near Ingleton.
The 38-year-old, from Bradford, was a front seat passenger in a black VW Passat, which was involved in a collision with a black Audi A4 estate and a black Skoda Fabia at around 2pm on Tuesday (September 17).
It happened outside Scalemire Farm, Newby, and the man was flown to the Royal Preston Hospital. North Yorkshire Police said he died on Thursday.
At the time of the collision, the Passat was travelling from Settle to Ingleton and the Fabia and Audi were heading in the opposite direction.
The man driving the Passat and the two rear seat passengers, both women, suffered slight injuries. All three were from Bradford.
The two people in the Fabia, both aged 56 and from Low Bentham, suffered serious injuries.
Police said the man driving the car was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital and the woman passenger went to Leeds General Infirmary.
They both remain in hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the Audi, a 48-year-old Keighley man, suffered minor injuries.
Traffic Sergeant Hamish Halloway, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said: “If you witnessed the collision or were in the area of the incident at the time and saw any of the cars involved, I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away.”
