ITEMS of antique jewellery were found amongst a haul of stolen property recovered by police.

Police are now searching for the owner of three rings and a brooch found amongst items seized in Morecambe earlier this year.

While other pieces have already been matched to their owners, the gold-coloured diamond-shaped ring; thin gold band with yellow and green stones; gold-coloured ring inlaid with oval-shaped white stones and gold swallow-shaped brooch with pearls remain outstanding.

Detective Constable Gareth Beaty, Lancaster CID, said: “The rings in particular seem to be quite old and potentially belong to an elderly person. “We hope that someone will see the pieces and recognise them – they may have great sentimental value and it would be fantastic to return them to their rightful owner.”

Anyone with information about the items is asked to contact DC Beaty on 01524 596558.
