Police have released CCTV images of woman following the theft of cash from an ATM.

A man used the ATM in the SPAR on Main Road in Bolton-le-Sands.

As he took the cash from the ATM he did not realise that the machine had not delivered all his money and another £50 was then dispensed after he walked away.

The in-store CCTV shows a woman passing the ATM then removing the cash from it.

She then walked out of the store.

The woman is described as white, with dark, long coloured hair in a ponytail wearing a light coloured, short sleeved top and dark coloured trousers.

PC Faye Tinker, from Lancaster & Morecambe Police, added “We would appeal to the public, the person herself and anyone who can identify the woman in the CCTV image, to get in touch with us so that we can sort this matter out.”

The theft occured at 5.40pm on April 25.
