Between midday on January 14 and 10am on January 15, a black Honda Civic, which had been parked on Monkswell Avenue was damaged badly to both sides, roof and bonnet.

It is believed that another vehicle, presumably a pick-up or similar style truck, struck the Honda Civic whilst possibly reversing, causing part of it’s load to fall on the Civic’s roof and slide off the bonnet.

It appears that whatever had slid off was recovered and the vehicle then drove off, failing to leave any details for the damaged vehicle’s owner.

PC Simon Harrison, from Lancaster & Morecambe Police, said: “We would appeal to the public, and anyone who saw the collision and/or who can identify the vehicle or driver to get in touch with us to help us and provide any information in regards to this investigation.”
