A car was damaged by a passing motorcyclist who failed to stop at the scene.

Police said the collision happened at 12.25pm on Sunday, September 29, when the victim was driving her light blue Skoda Octavia along Quernmore Road in Lancaster heading towards Caton.

As she drove along the road, the wing mirror of one of two motorcycles travelling together in the opposite direction, clipped the wing mirror of her car causing it to smash.

The driver of the car pulled over but neither of the motorcyclists stopped and so police are looking to trace them.

PC Phil Williamson said, “I am keen to hear from anyone who may witnessed what happened to contact police.

“There is a possibility that the rider may not be fully aware of the damage caused and so I would appeal to the rider of the bike to come forward if they think this may have been them.”

Anybody with any information can contact police on 101 quoting log number LC-20130929-0984.
