A bag was stolen from a train after it was left in a carriage.

British Transport Police believe a man captured on CCTV could have information about the theft of the bag, which contained an XBox One.

Investigating officer PC Alex Fernie said: “The victim was travelling with her children from Lancaster to Preston and carrying a number of bags.

“When she left the train at Preston she inadvertently left one of her bags, containing an Xbox One on the train. “Almost immediately she realised she had left it behind and boarded the stationary train only to discover the bag had gone.”

“Officers believe the man in the image could have vital information about the incident and urge him or anyone who recognises him to come forward.

The incident happened shortly after 7.30pm on Friday, 16 June.
