So this past Saturday saw over 80 of our Fitness Formation clients take part in Born Survivor – a 10km obstacle course up at the beautiful Lowther Castle.

We had clients from their early 20s to the over 50s in our team who all completed it.

Some had experience of this sort of event and were in training for it for a long time, determined to beat their time and better their personal best.

Others had no idea what to expect, other than it was going to be extremely difficult and way out of their comfort zone. Our sole driving factors in partaking in such an event were to raise as much money as possible for the #saveourhospice cmapaign for St John’s Hospice and our never-ending pursuit of team-building activities.

In order to succeed in anything in life, you absolutely must believe in yourself and have a great team around you in order to pick you up when you are down. Literally.

I am so incredibly proud of our Fitness Formation clients last weekend. They stepped out of their comfort zones and well and truly succeeded in conquering many fears and creating friendships for life.

I want to set you a challenge this week, if I may. I guarantee you have always wanted to do something on your ‘bucket list’ but for whatever reason, you just haven’t got round to doing it.

Whatever it might be, I want you to put it out to the world this week. Tell your friends, family, even Facebook, so they can hold you accountable and get whatever it is booked so you had a deadline to work towards.

I truly do believe we can achieve anything we want in life; big or small, whatever it is, you can do it.

All you need to do is take really small steps, every single day to that goal and it will come true.

The best piece of advice I could give to anyone setting out on achieving anything they haven’t done before, is seek out help.
