ARTIST and performer Kerri Layton has launched a participatory art exhibition at Lancaster’s Gregson Centre.
The exhibition aims to involve the public in the creative process by inviting them to colour in the images already drawn on canvases.
People can rent, for a small fee, a liquid chalk pen from behind the bar, and colour in the hung canvases.
In the New Year, the completed works of art will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going directly to Circus2Iraq, a charity founded in 2004 at the beginning of the Iraq war.
Circus2Iraq are a collective of clowns and circus performers who have toured the Middle East and war-torn countries, with the aim of bringing fun and joy to children who have never known anything else but war.
