Clothing swap shop will boost hospice funds

Do you have a dress you’d like to swap and raise money for St John’s Hospice in Lancaster into the bargain?

If so, the organisers of a ‘Fancy Dress Frock Swap’ event want you to get involved.

The frck swap on Friday, September 27, at Lancaster Brewery, is being organised by Aimee Heaton and Roz Horner from the St John’s Hospice shop at Bowerham in Lancaster.

The event will include cocktails, canapés, cupcakes and clothes swapping with a disco, DJ and auction by TV celebrity Paul Hayes.

Aimee said: “We are very proud of the amazing quality of the donations and pride ourselves on the boutique feel of the shop.

“Customers are always complimentary and many return regularly.

“We need the support of local businesses to kindly donate raffle prizes for the event.”

Go along to the brewery dressed as your favourite female icon – there will be prizes for the best dressed women on the night.

* There will be music from the Paul Hayes Band.

* Tickets are £10 and are available from the St John’s Hospice Charity shop in Bowerham. When you buy your ticket you will need take a bag of clothing (maximum 20 items) that you no longer need. Then on the night you can take your pick from the clothes rails.
