City man held after £10,000 drugs find

A LANCASTER man was arrested after Cumbria Police stopped a car on the M6 and recovered cannabis with an estimated street value of £10,000.

The Citroen Xantia was stopped by traffic officers in a random check on the northbound carriageway of the motorway just south of junction 36 at 6pm on Tuesday, June 7.

A 36-year-old Lancaster man was arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to supply cannabis and released on bail until July 20 pending further enquiries.
