FAIRYTALE fans can take a mystical journey into the weird and wonderful realm of the imagination at Kendal’s Brewery Arts Centre this Christmas.
Children of all ages will be able to experience the icy blasts of a Norwegian winter, and the grisly goings-on in a wicked stepmother’s kitchen in this year’s Brewery Christmas show, Beasts and Beauties.
The show has been written by poet Carol Ann Duffy.
Beasts and Beauties features eight fairy tales from across Europe, including Beauty and the Beast, the Emperor’s New Clothes, Bluebeard, The Juniper Tree, and Toby and the Wolf.
The show is directed by Mark Smith, and is a co-production between the Brewery and Spike Theatre, the touring company credited with bringing an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Danny Champion of the World to the Brewery last Christmas.
