POLICE have released a CCTV image of a woman they are keen to speak with after two passengers failed to pay for a taxi journey in Lancaster.

The offence took place around 1am on Sunday March 6 when the taxi driver picked two woman up to take them to addresses in Morecambe and then Lancaster.

When the driver dropped off his second passenger she stated she had no money but would get some from the house.

She entered an address in Brennand Close but then failed to return and pay the taxi driver.

PC Chris Smith from Lancaster Police said: “I would urge people to take a close look at the CCTV image and if they recognise the woman please contact police on 01524 63333.

“It is believed the address given to the taxi driver could be a false address.”
